We are happy to invite you to join us for our 2026 Ladies Retreat, October 23–24, at the VCOC building.

This year’s theme is “That We May Be One” — John 17:21, with a focus on Cultivating Community, Centered on Christ. Our hope for the weekend is pretty simple: to bring women together from across Alaska for time in God’s Word, encouragement, fellowship, and an opportunity to strengthen the relationships we have with one another as sisters in Christ. So please help us spread the word to other sisters across the state!

We are especially grateful to welcome Laura Boswell back to Alaska as our speaker. Many of you may remember Laura from the years she and her family were part of the Northern Lights church family while her husband served as the preacher there. Because of those years in Alaska, Laura already has connections and friendships with so many here, and we are very excited to have her coming back to spend this weekend with us.

Laura will be sharing three lessons on Saturday centered around community, family relationships, and growing together spiritually in Christ.

The retreat will begin Friday evening with dinner, singing, a short devotional, and plenty of time for fellowship, crafts, and games. We’ll continue Saturday with Laura’s lessons, meals together, and time to simply enjoy being with sisters from around the state.

There is no cost to attend, and meals are included. We also know that traveling to Wasilla can make attending more difficult for some of our sisters, so we will offer housing for those traveling to attend. If you would be willing to host, please contact Sierra Paine.
