COVID-19 Update 04/04/2020

| Robert Kuenning | News

We want to attempt to stay in constant communication with you, our family, to keep you updated on the changes we are needing to make due to the constantly evolving health situation.   Keep in mind that we will continue to monitor and adjust these decisions as necessary.

In order to comply with the State of Alaska health mandates we will be streaming a service this Sunday, April 4, and next Sunday, April 12. By the details given on the Alaska.gov website, the shelter-in-place mandates will be reviewed by the state by April 11th. We will decide on our future meetings, studies, and gatherings after the state readdresses these mandates. Please check the website, watch your email, or check social media for updates as this situation continues to develop.

We rejoice that we can electronically join together again this Sunday morning at 10 AM for our streamed Valley church assembly. Please use the web connection: akvcoc.com/resources/live  The faith, worship, truth, and unity are just as real as if we were together at the building.  We are all missing the fellowship and the one another connections that are so important in our walk, but hopefully, this isolation will not last too much longer.

In an effort to continue and improve keeping in touch we have been testing methods for mid-week Bible studies and have plans to try several this week.

Bible studies this week:

  • Please use this time for personal daily focused Bible study and prayer time.
  • Please have a regular time of family study, singing, and encouragement.
  • This week we are planning to use the Zoom software to have group Bible studies.
    • Tuesday Night Men’s Group at 7PM
    • Thursday Night Small Group at 6PM
    • Ladies Bible Study TBA

(To use the Zoom connection, you will be sent an address to link in by video to the group.  You can use your phone as your video connection, but a tablet, laptop, or desktop tend to give a better visual connection.)

Be safe and continue to pray for each other, pray for us too as we navigate uncharted waters, and pray for God’s will to be done in our lives and His church in Alaska… as His ambassadors of the salvation of Christ in a lost world.

If you need ANYTHING, please call the office at 907-357-3011 and let us help you.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,  nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.   Rom 8:35, 37-39
